Instead of throwing them away, they used them to make this delicious, moist bread! 🍌This banana bread recipe creates the most delicious, moist loaf with loads of banana flavor.                               Basic Banana Bread Ingredients

        

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (the riper, the better – brown spots are great!)
  • 1/2 cup (115g) melted butter (unsalted or salted)
  • 3/4 cup (150g) sugar (brown sugar for more moisture and caramel flavor or white sugar for a lighter texture)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2: Mash & Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  • Stir in the melted butter.
  • Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.

Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients

  • Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir.
  • Gradually add flour, mixing until just combined (don’t overmix, or the bread may turn out dense).

Step 4: Bake

  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 5: Cool & Serve

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature!
